What is the love calculator?

Most love calculators online are random-number generators with a heart on top — type the same two names twice and you can get two different answers. This one is not. It reads both names, and optionally both dates of birth, through Indian numerology (ank jyotish), so the same two people always get the same score, and the score does not change if you type the names the other way round.

Each name is reduced to three Chaldean numbers: the name number from every letter, the heart number from the vowels, and the personality number from the consonants. Every number from 1 to 9 belongs to a graha — 1 the Sun, 2 the Moon, 3 Jupiter, 4 Rahu, 5 Mercury, 6 Venus, 7 Ketu, 8 Saturn, 9 Mars. Your number and your partner's are then compared with the classical table of natural planetary friendship, the same Graha Maitri idea that 36-point kundli matching uses, read in both directions.

Adding both birth dates brings in the two numbers that carry the most weight in Indian numerology: the mulank from the day of birth and the bhagyank from the full date. With dates, the score leans on those; with names alone, it rests on the name numbers. Either way you see every comparison that went into the score, the planet that rules the relationship as a whole, and what each part says about attraction, emotional bond, understanding, trust and your future together.

How this calculator works

  1. 1

    Enter both names

Use the names you actually go by, in English letters. Spacing, capitals and punctuation make no difference.

  2. 2

    Add both birth dates (optional)

Dates bring in mulank and bhagyank, which carry more than half of the score when present. Add both or neither — one date has nothing to compare against.

  3. 3

    Numbers are compared as planets

Each pair of numbers is read as a pair of grahas and scored from natural friendship to opposition, in both directions, so the result is symmetric.

  4. 4

    Read your score and prediction

You get the love score, a five-part prediction, the number and planet of your relationship, and a card you can share on WhatsApp or Instagram.

Frequently asked questions

No. There is no random number anywhere in it. The same two names, with the same dates, always give the same score, and swapping the order of the names changes nothing.

Mulank and bhagyank are the strongest numbers in Indian numerology, so once both dates are given they carry most of the weight. The names still count, just for less.

The name you are actually called by. Numerology treats the name in daily use as the one that carries vibration. Try both if you like — each gives an honest result for that name.

For now the calculation needs English letters, because Chaldean numerology assigns values to the Latin alphabet. Type the name as you would spell it in English.

No. A low score means your numbers pull in different directions, and the prediction says where. Plenty of lasting couples score low — it is a starting point for a conversation, not a verdict.

No. This is numerology, read from names and dates. Kundli matching compares both birth charts across eight koots out of 36 points and needs birth time and place. For a marriage decision, use kundli matching and speak to an astrologer.
